Biography

Lixue Shi is an associate professor of the Institutes of Biomedical Sciences (IBS) at Fudan University. Lixue received her B.S. degree in Chemistry from Peking University in 2014 and Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry from Columbia University in 2019. Lixue then stayed at Columbia and completed her postdoctoral training in 2022. Shi Lab focuses on the purpose-driven development of vibrational imaging tools and their applications in pathology and clinical medicine.


Research Areas

Bio-imaging, vibrational spectroscopy and microscopy

Research interest

Our lab focuses on developing next-generation vibrational imaging tools and devising their applications in pathology and clinical medicine. We integrated spectroscopic developments with chemical innovations (vibrational probes, sensors, tissue sample engineering, etc) to deliver new biophysical methodologies, deciphering biological complexity under 3D spatial context.
