肠道微生物与人体健康有着密切关系。近年来,从不同国家获得的数据显示,婴幼儿的肠道菌群存在保守的发育途径。肠道菌群发育不良与多种婴幼儿疾病相关,包括营养不良,肥胖症,糖尿病,早产儿炎症性肠病和哮喘等。这些结果预示着,肠道菌群的正常发育对婴幼儿健康有不可或缺的作用。
本课题组将在前期基础上,致力于研究肠道菌群的早期发育机制及其对宿主发育的调控作用。课题组结合多种研究手段,包括微生物学,基因组学,代谢组学,无菌小鼠模型,与临床合作,研究(1)决定肠道菌群早期发育过程的遗传学基础;(2)不同发育时期肠道菌群的代谢特征及其对宿主发育的调控作用;(3)肠道菌群发育过程紊乱与中国婴幼儿早期发育不良的关系。
