工作经历
1990年毕业于上海医科大学法医学系, 1995年获得上海医科大学生物化学与分子生物学博士学位,同年赴美国Johns Hopkins大学医学院生物化学系作博士后。2002年受聘为Johns Hopkins大学医学院儿科内分泌系助理教授兼生化系助理教授。2005年6月辞去美国的职位,全职受聘于复旦大学。曾担任复旦大学上海医学院副院长;现任复旦大学基础医学院院长,生物医学研究院副院长,生物化学与分子生物学系主任,分子医学教育部重点实验室主任;上海生物化学与分子生物学会副理事长,中国医学生物化学与分子生物学协会副理事长。
所获人才项目
汤其群教授为第二批教育部“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授(1999),为国家自然科学基金委“杰出青年基金”获得者(2006),为国家重大科学研究计划“干细胞定向分化的基础与临床应用研究”的首席科学家,2005年入选上海市首批“医学领军人才”,2007年入选上海市领军人才,并被评为优秀学科带头人,2009年入选国家“百千万人才计划”国家级人选, 2010年被Johns Hopkins大学生物化学系聘为兼职教授(Adjunct Professor),被美国中华医学基金会评为CMB杰出教授。
所获奖项
发表论文50余篇,多数在PNAS、GENES & DEVELOPMENT、MCB、MCP、JBC等SCI杂志上发表。曾获上海市科技进步一等奖,卫生部科技进步一等奖、国家科技进步二等奖,“霍英东优秀青年教师”一等奖(生物类)和谈家桢生命科学创新奖。
研究方向
主要从事研究脂肪细胞发育分化的机理和肥胖的成因,以及有效地控制肥胖的方法。
